Hollywood superstars, including movie giant John Wayne, discovered the pleasures of Los Cabos, Mexico, in the 1950s, drawn to the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula by world-class fishing and idyllic beaches. These days an international airport has replaced the barebones tiny airstrip the stars used and a first class highway now connects the resort area to southern California. But visitors are still drawn to the area by the same natural wonders that the movie stars put in the spotlight.
